Upskilling Lab 4.0

Skills improvement opportunities for companies’ staff to connect international start-ups, scale-ups, and established companies operating in specific verticals with focus on modern technologies and innovation (Industry 4.0)!

The aim of this project is to provide opportunities for organisational staff to improve their skills, which are related to making connections with international start-ups, scaleups and already established organisations. Here, there is a focus on modern technology and innovation (Industry 4.0 – network of smart devices that exchange information with each other). This, by means of a robust model of collaboration in the context of open innovation (obtaining valuable ideas both from within and outside the organisation). Thus, new successful collaborations at different levels can be realised, resulting in innovative products or services!

The target groups of Upskilling Lab 4.0 are therefore companies that are just starting up or growing, but also established companies. Upskilling Lab 4.0 wants to focus on managers and employees who have certain roles in innovation, but also in collaboration. The goal of the project is to create a model for two business groups:

  • Startups & scaleups (growth phase)
  • Medium and large organisations (established)

Together with partners from Bulgaria (Bulgarian Industrial Association & KISMC), Spain (University of Deusto), Belgium (European Startup Network) and Slovenia (CCSBS), we want Upskilling Lab 4.0 to create impact on a European level. The focus on Industry 4.0 and open innovation is key to this.

The project started in October 2019 and runs until October 2021.
